Youth and Families Worker

Widcombe Baptist Church is currently blessed with a growing group of 0-18s, for which we thank God. That being said, there is an urgent need to strengthen our youth ministry in order to seek to grow and nurture disciple-making disciples across our church family.

Job Specification

  • Strategic oversight and leadership of youth ministries
  • Committed to training and developing healthy leadership teams across our youth ministries.
  • Teach the Bible to young people in a clear and engaging way – from the front, in small groups and in 1-2-1s
  • Provide an example of godly Christian life, displaying grace and repentance
  • Build good relationships with parents, leaders and young people
  • Create and nurture a healthy, inclusive culture across the youth groups involved in the Safeguarding Team
  • Committed to the training and resourcing of parents
  • Review present involvement of WBC Youth in summer camps
  • Work in close partnership with 0-11s ministry leads
  • Build connections with local secondary schools and supporting school CUs where appropriate
